Year 1 Great Fire of London Workshop

Year 1 have had the most amazing week! They have been totally transported back to smoky London in 1666 where the Great Fire burned for a very long time! They were so lucky to enjoy a performance workshop where every single child had a part to play. 

Each Class arrived at school dressed for 1666 and they all loved writing diaries just like Samuel Pepys!

They have also been thinking about how we even know about the Great Fire… Guess what? Samuel Pepys came to our school and buried his belongings! We all became Historians and went on a ‘dig’ to find his stash! These are memories of school life that will last a lifetime…
