Hello Year 2,

We hope you have all had a good weekend.

In Phonics this week we are recapping the rules for adding the suffixes ed and ing. Can you remember all the rules? You will also be learning about irregular verbs and changing them into the past tense.

This week’s English is based upon ‘The See-Saw’ story written by Tom Percival.  In this story Sofia loses her beloved bear at the beach and nobody sees but the sea. You will listen to the story and complete a comprehension and a book review.  Later in the week you will write your own ‘lost’ story and a newspaper report.

In Maths we are continuing to learn about money. You will be comparing amounts, finding totals and working out change.
