Hello Year 1!

How are you? We hope that you have all enjoyed learning about the sea creatures and creating your little booklets. We were amazed by some of the facts that we learnt too! How strange that an octopus can be huge but squish into a very small  space! Don't you think that seahorses are so beautiful as they glide through the water?

This week we are going to be practising one of the most important skills in writing and that is to use capital letters and full stops! We will also be thinking about punctuation. If you can use an exclamation mark and a question mark, your writing will become more interesting and detailed.

We will also be thinking about our very important School Values. Do you remember what they are? You will be thinking of ways that you can uphold the values and making a little booklet that you may wish to share with your siblings or family.

Remember, the weekly plan is a guide and if you do not have time to do it all, please don't worry. We are still here to support you and if you need any help, please do get in touch.

We are thinking of you all and we miss you lots...

Take care,

Mrs West and Mrs Bagley xx
