5th January 2021

Hello Year 2,

We hope you all had a lovely Christmas with your families and had fun playing with your new toys!  We have missed you and are sad not to be welcoming you back to the classroom, for now our work will be here on our 'Home Learning' page.

Please find all of Tuesday's planning in the folder marked 'Tuesday' and we shall add the rest of the planning, as a timetable, by Wednesday.

This week we will be reading an alternative version of 'Little Red Riding Hood' and comparing it to the original story.  In Maths we shall be learning how to multiply numbers using repeated addition and array patterns.  In the afternoons you will be learning about a famous lady from the past called Florence Nightingale.  You may have heard of her already but if not you will try to guess the job Florence did in the past and what made her so special, using an old picture of her.  You will also be thinking of special people in your own lives in R.E. and joining in with some P.E. to help you keep fit and healthy!

As always, these plans are here as a guide, do not worry if you are unable to complete all the work.  Remember you can use RMeasimaths and Reading Eggs to support your home learning.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need to ask any questions please do get in touch.

We miss you all, take care
