Miss Appleby's Class

Welcome to Miss Appleby's Class!

This page will be regularly updated with lots of information all about us! So keep watching this space...

We are a fantastic class who are on an exciting learning journey! In this class we always try to make learning as fun as possible and learn as many new things as we can.

This term, we have written instructions for pizzas and jam sandwiches. Then we followed our instructions and made them!

We have made lighthouses with a pulley system so that Mrs Grinling could send Mr Grinling's lunch to the lighthouse!
In Numeracy, we investigated the number of each colour of jelly beans in a packet and displayed the data on a graph.
During collaborative work, we have thought about the importance of each member of our class; we made a poster showing each person and their special skill or talent.
We have recently been creating our own Lighthouse Keeper stories using a story box to support oral story telling!
We get spellings and homework every week. Our spellings are given out on Friday for the test the following Friday. Our homework is given out on a Wednesday and should be returned to school on the following Monday!
Our Library day is Monday. After the holidays please make sure you bring your books back only on Mondays!
In 2CA we strive to be 'Star of the Week'! Hardworking, sensible and polite children are worthy achievers!
Thank you for reading our webpage and we hope you will enjoy travelling with us on our exciting learning journey!
All the children in 2CA, Miss Appleby, Mrs Whyte, Mrs Page and Miss Claridge.
