Beech Class - Mrs Edwards

A warm welcome to Beech Class!

Here on our class webpage you can find out about our achievements, view photographs and discover the exciting things we have been learning about and experiencing. Year 2 is a very busy year but we will be having lots of fun along the way whilst always following our school values; Respectfulness, Hardworking, Caring, Creative and Honesty.  We shall update this page as we move through each term so please check back regularly.

Mrs Edwards is the class teacher with Mrs Starling covering the class on Thursday afternoons. Mrs Richards, Mrs Saravanabavan and Mrs Jerath are our wonderful Learning Support Assistants.

Our P.E. lessons are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Named PE kits should stay in school and will be sent back home at the end of each half term. Please be sure to remove earrings before school each day or cover with tape if they are newly pierced. We have tape in school and if we are concerned we will cover in class.

On a Monday afternoon we visit the School Library; please remember to bring books back so they can be changed for a new one each week.

Every Friday we take home spellings to learn ready for our weekly spelling test the following Friday. We have homework every week; this will usually be English or Maths, often relating to what we have been learning that week. Homework will be sent home on a Thursday to be returned the following Monday. We also bring home a White Rose Home Learning maths worksheet on Friday to let you know what we have been learning in our lessons.  This worksheet can stay at home and does not need to be returned to school.  Every day we bring two reading books home to share. These will be changed every Monday and Wednesday. Please remember to bring your reading folder, with books inside every day.

Thank you for visiting our class page, we hope we will see you again soon.
