Values and Ethos

Vision

Our school vision is to provide an education of the highest quality in a welcoming, joyful, positive and secure environment where children can thrive. Children are at the centre of all we do and our aim is to develop a whole school culture where they feel included, respected, safe and happy and where their achievements and contributions are valued and celebrated. We want our school to be a place where children become good and kind citizens of the future, grow in confidence and find their time to shine; reaching their potential and their North Star!

Values in Action

School values, a strong ethos and moral compass underpin all that we do. Our school values and golden rules help the children with a solid framework in which to live and learn and shape their mindsets, character and behaviour for the future.

As our pupils travel the Chalfont Journey we support their learning with regular reminders of these values and rules, through discussions, stories, real life experiences and learning about inspirational people and events, to demonstrate these values in action.

At Chalfont St Peter Infant School we establish a positive attitude towards learning through a broad and exciting curriculum, adapted to fit their changing needs,  and a stimulating secure environment. Children are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop in their own way and at their own pace. We do this by providing inspiring lessons that are purposeful, enjoyable and responsive to each child. We intend to promote the development of children intellectually, socially, physically and morally to provide children with the basic skills they need for life and to nurture a love of learning.
Teaching methods are flexible, varied and involve a combination of whole class, small group and individual teaching, depending on the subject being taught and the needs of the child.

British Values

Alongside our own school values, we advocate the importance of the recognised British values and help our children to understand the importance of these in our modern world.
