Hello Year 2,

We hope you all had a super time celebrating VE day in the sunshine yesterday. We are sure lots of you were decorating your houses, baking cakes and enjoying picnics in your garden.

We are really enjoying seeing the great work you have been doing at home and are very pleased that you are enjoying the activities set for you. We are learning all about the author Roald Dahl this week; did you know that he lived nearby in Great Missenden?

Reading Eggs

Thank you to all the children who have been working hard on RMeasimaths. After receiving positive comments about the ability to access online activities we have set up a 30 day free trial for the entire school with Reading Eggs. During lockdown we appreciate it has been a challenge for some parents to access books at the correct reading level for your child. We hope Reading Eggs will help overcome this.

Once logged in children can access a variety of activities to progress through levels. The first challenge is a placement activity to set the correct reading level. This should be done with no assistance to ensure that the correct level for your child to make progress.  We appreciate some of you are already using Reading Eggs, if you are currently using a free trial we ask that you use our school login so that the teaching staff can see your progress.
