We had a fantastic day investigating creatures that live in Woolley Firs’ pond, meadow and woodland. We searched for minibeasts with bug-hunting kits, used nets to sweep the long grass in the meadows and went pond-dipping. Then we used field guides and keys to identify and classify the creatures we found. We also learned about life cycles, food chains and the adaptations of animals to these different habitats.
