Our day experiencing life as a Victorian child at Reading Museum!
Last week Year 2 went on a fantastic trip back in time to Victorian Britain at the Reading Museum. Everyone was dressed beautifully and it really helped set the scene.
In the morning 2CA went round the Reading Museum and learnt all about The Romans, The Aztecs and looked around many different galleries.
After a quick lunch we were transported back in time to 1897 and we entered a Victorian classroom. It was an amazing experience and very realistic, but it made us all very grateful we didn't go to school then!
No cube pot or golden time!
We wrote using ink pens, copy books and slates! We learnt a Victorian rhyme by heart and Louis volunteered to face the cane and Izzy to wear the dunce cap! Well done!
