On Monday 22nd April 2013, we were excited to welcome a young pupil from a school in Grenoble, France. As we are working very hard to learn the modern foreign language of French, it is important that we listen to native French speakers in order to enhance our learning and hear the French accent. We would like to thank Alban Grigg for coming to Chalfont St Peter Infant School, where he read five familiar stories in French! In Year R, Alban read 'Boucle d'Or et les trois ours' - Goldilocks and the Three Bears. He very cleverly managed to read this book in French and then in English! Year 1 listened to Bebes Chouettes – Owl Babies. Alban then read ‘La chasse à l’ours’ – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt to Year 2.
We are very grateful to Alban, who is 7 years old, for helping us with our French!
