Milestones Museum of Living History

On Tuesday 8th November 57 very excited Year 1 children visited 'Milestones'; The Museum of Living History. We walked through cobbled streets listening to the sound of horses trotting! We looked in Victorian shops and 1930s homes. The children were surprised to see the toilet outside! We stopped outside the hardware shop to look at the carpet beaters, tin washing tubs and tin baths!  No such luxury as electricity to help with daily chores. Lunch was a very popular event for both children and teachers followed by the very important visit to the shop! After making our purchases we were all ready to board the coach to return to school.
