Hello Year 2,

We hope you are safe and well at home.  

This week in phonics we are learning to add suffixes, focusing on ed and ing. You will learn the rules for adding these suffixes and how they change words once they are added.

In English it's a week of poetry around the theme of Remembrance and Autumn. Did you see the Remembrance ceremony on the TV on Sunday? We hope you like reading the example poems and enjoy creating some of your own. Perhaps you have a poetry book at home that you could take a look at?

For Maths there is some pattern work involving shape and number, as well as learning about the two different ways that numbers can be written.

There are also fun afternoon lessons and activities planned for RE, Science, Art and PE. We think you will be very busy!

Remember you can also use RMeasimaths and Reading Eggs to support your home learning.
