Sport for Schools Olympic Gymnast

On Friday 27th April we were very lucky to meet a very special Olympic gymnast! Danny Lawrence treated us to a breathtaking display of back flips and a cartwheel with no hands! He explained to us how he had to be dedicated to his sport in order to achieve so highly. Danny has competed in two World Championships and is preparing for the Olympic Games in London this summer.

Before Danny demonstrated his gymnastic skills, we all showed him ours! We participated in a Sport England activity where we worked very hard to go leg drills, star jumps, press ups and 'spotty dogs'. It was so much fun and Danny thought we were all very motivated and well behaved.
