The Owl Experience

On Thursday October 7th, Oak Class were so excited! As we all came into school, we realised that it was 'Owl Day'! Today, we welcomed Bob Morely and his owls to our school. Archie and Gizmo loved flying around our hall and we all ducked as they flew so close to our heads! Mrs West and Mrs Ashraf were so surprised when they landed on their arms! We all got to stand really close to the owls and we could see all their feather patterns and the features of their heads so well.

In the afternoon, we all went back to see the owls and they sat very still for us to practise our observational drawing skills. Using a soft pencil, we carefully drew the owls and we made our first attempt at shading.
