8th February 2021

Hello Year 2,

We hope that you are all well and happy and ready for your last week of home learning before your well-deserved half term break!

This week in Phonics we are learning to add the suffixes -est and -y.

In English we have planned lots of lovely poetry work based on the poem ‘The Sound Catcher’

In Maths we are spending the week collecting and interpreting data in the form of tally charts and pictograms.

In the afternoons we will be comparing the nurses who we have learned about in History, learning how plants and animals depend on each other in Science, making one last puppet in DT and lots more!

Don’t forget there are lots of links for fun PE ideas and optional daily well-being activities to complete, if you would like to, and you can also use RMEasimaths and Reading Eggs/Reading Eggspress to support your learning.

We know that it can be tricky learning at home and are so proud of how well you are all doing. Remember the plan is here as a guide, please don't worry if you can't complete it all. This week we would like you to ask your Mummy or Daddy if you can email your Wednesday English and Maths work to us. It is great for us to see how well you are all doing.

We are thinking of you all and missing you lots!

Wishing you a happy half term break.

Mrs Chambers and Mrs Edwards xx
