Arts Week 2013

During the week of 11th - 15th February 1JW embraced the Arts through the Traditional Tale of Little Red Riding Hood. We painted portraits of Little Red Riding Hood and learnt how to draw using our observational skills. We printed 'Grandma's flowers' using potatoes and we created 'Grandma's quilt' using weaving skills. Little Riding Hoods and Big Bad Wolves were created in 3D sculptures and wolf puppets were created using sewing skills. Ella and Danny used their handprints to 'grow' trees in the woods and we created 'Grandma's cottages' using brown paper bags! We had a brilliant week where we all worked so hard and we 'all lived happily ever after'!
