On behalf of all pupils, staff, parents and Governors, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Chalfont St Peter Infant School website. Our mission statement is: Learning Together and Celebrating Success; our primary aim is to provide a happy, friendly and safe environment where children enjoy learning and strive to achieve their best. We value our whole school community where great importance is placed upon mutual respect and inclusion. Every opportunity is taken to share our talents within the wider community; we regularly participate in local events and with other schools.
We strongly believe a child’s education involves a partnership between home and school. Through working together we give children every opportunity to develop their talents within an ethos which promotes a positive attitude towards learning coupled with a drive for excellence.
Our school offers a rich, creative and innovative curriculum where children are inspired to achieve their full potential. We are very excited to announce that this academic year the teaching of French has commenced for all our children including our very young Year R pupils! Learning often takes place outside the classroom with many school trips including a residental and an annual whole school theatre trip to a Christmas pantomime!
Our academic standards are very high with results consistently above the national average over the last five years. We are proud to have been awarded with the prestigious Artsmark Gold Award where children regularly participate in the Arts within Choirs, clubs, Music and Dance Festivals, concerts and performance. Chalfont St Peter Infant School is an Eco School and we are committed to recycling and reusing thus protecting our planet; more recently we are delighted to have achieved the coveted Green Flag status. Staff and children have worked diligently to achieve and maintain Healthy Schools Award; pupils participate in PE Festivals and attend weekly swimming lessons at the village Leisure Centre. We hold the Activemark Award which acknowledges our commitment to physical exercise within the curriculum. Our pupils enjoy many extra-curricular activites and we have been recognised with a National Primary Centre Award. Last academic year 37 clubs were available for KS1 pupils. Please refer to our clubs page to see the variety of musical, sporting and creative opportunites available.
We aim to provide all children in our care with the best possible start in life and look forward to welcoming your child and family to our busy and vibrant school! We hope that you enjoy visiting our website and find all the information required. Please contact the school office to arrange a tour; our staff and children will be happy to talk to you!
Thank you for visiting and we look forward to meeting with you soon.
