Hello Year R,
We hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend with your families. Did you watch the whole school assembly last week? If you would like to be part of the Virtual Choir, please send a video of you singing 'Every Journey' to your class teacher by Wednesday 10th February.
This week we will be learning about a special superhero called Sir David Attenborough! We will be reading a story about his life and then writing letters to him. Make sure you send your letters in and we will post them to Sir David Attenborough! In Maths we will be learning to add numbers together, by combining groups of objects them moving on to adding using a number line. In Phonics we will be learning some new digraphs and trigraphs.
In the afternoons we will be recapping The Colour Monster story. We will also be learning a new song and dance all about animals. David Attenborough recorded a documentary on penguins and we will be watching a clip then learning all about the penguin lifecycle. On Friday it is Chinese New Year and we will be learning all about how it is celebrated. There are also some interactive phonics resources if you would like to try them!
Well done to everyone who has been using RMEasimaths and Reading Eggs. It is lovely to see you all making lots of progress on both the Apps!
We know that you are all working very hard, as always, the plan is here as a guide, please don't worry if you can't complete it all. This week we would like you to send your Literacy work and your Thursday Maths work. We are so proud of everything you are doing and we look forward to seeing your work.
We are thinking of you all and missing you lots!
