Hello Year 2,

What a shame that we are missing our last few days at school before the Christmas holidays.  We have had a super last week but still had lots of lovely activities to share with you.  On Thursday we were going to watch an online panto but hopefully we can catch up with that in the New Year.  For now, we have included links to the Cbeebies Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan pantos that you may like to watch:

This week we have really enjoyed reading a story about a little dog called Lumi, ‘A Christmas Collar’. There is a power point of the story in the folder for you to read again.  Your work about the story has been amazing and we had one last piece of writing to do.  We would like you to write a ‘Missing’ poster for the reindeer, Dasher, who became lost when her collar fell off in the snow.  Please find the template in the folder. There is a ‘Christmas Collar’ reading comprehension in the folder too.

We also had some fun maths activities planned, in the folder, and more Christmas crafts to make. We have included a separate craft folder with lots of ideas about things you can make at home. 

We are so sad that we cannot wish you a Merry Christmas in person but hope that you have a wonderful time with your families.  Thank you all for your continued support this term and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
