Elm Class - Miss Forsythe

Welcome to Elm Class!

Our teacher is Miss Forsythe and our LSA is Miss Lane.

We can be found working very hard in Classroom 4, where we love learning about all of the curriculum; including descriptive and non-fiction writing in English, 2D and 3D shapes in Maths and Animals, including humans in Science.

We practise our sounds and segmenting and blending every morning in Phonics which helps us with our reading and writing- as well as with our sentence spelling tests which take place every Monday (with spellings sent home every Wednesday). Our PE sessions are on Mondays (games) and Thursdays (dance) – naming PE kits is a great help as it means they don’t get lost or muddled. Our weekly French lessons mean we are très bien with our French colours and numbers and with our other non-core subjects including Religious Education, Art, Geography, History, Computing and Music you can see how busy we are in Elm Class!

Some of our favourite parts of the week include our trip to the Library on Tuesdays where we choose a book to bring home (we love to read and explore books in Elm Class!), our trips to the Cocoa Pod where we are learning all things Computing in a way that links across the curriculum and our Golden Time on Friday afternoons. This is when we get to choose a fun activity we would like to do and play with our friends – after all our hard work we deserve this!

This year we will be going on lots of exciting and adventurous school trips! Our next trip will be for a wild adventure to Woburn Safari Park...

We hope you enjoy visiting our webpage and finding out a bit more about all of the fantastic learning we get up to in Elm Class.
