Hello everyone,
Well, we have reached our last week of Home Learning and we can’t believe it’s nearly the end of the school year; it’s been quite a roller coaster!
We cannot thank you enough for all of the support you have given your children during these strange unprecedented times. The children (and you) have worked so hard and we couldn’t be prouder. Please bear in mind that all of the children will be assessed when they arrive at their new school in September and this will be used to plan how to fill any gaps in learning. There is no need to spend hours learning over the summer holidays. Please keep reading though as this feeds into all aspects of the curriculum.
Thank you to those who emailed their science experiment photos and work to us. These can now be seen by clicking on the ‘test tube’ icon on the Year 2 Home Learning page. If you would like your work to be shown on school website this week please email us your letters for Year 1 and we will add them to their class Home Learning page for them to read.
We were pleased to hear how much you enjoyed carrying out your science experiments last week so we have added some more to this week’s planning. We have also included some fun art activities and a leavers booklet for you to complete and keep as a memory of your time at our school. Please find these activities and more on the plan below. As always, this plan is for you to use as a guide. If you cannot manage to get everything done please don’t worry. Remember you can email us if you need any help.
If you haven’t already seen our whole school weekly assemblies these can be viewed by clicking on the ‘star’ icon headed 'Friday Assembly' on the main Home Learning page.
We will not be setting any home learning for the last two days of school (20th - 21st July). The children in school will be completing a range of end of term activities, many of which will take place outside, weather permitting. Many thanks to the PTA for providing pizza and ice lollies for our special lunch on the last day. Look out for some end of term surprises on the website on the last day of term!
We have loved teaching all of your children this year and will miss them all very much.
Have a fabulous summer!
With love
Mrs Chambers and Mrs Edwards xx
