What a wonderful morning we had at Pizza Express on Thursday!
RCH were very excited as the coach pulled up outside our school! We enjoyed spotting all the shops as we drove through Gerrards Cross. We took a short walk to the Pizza Express restaurant and were greeted by Rod, the manager. He explained what we were going to do and we got ready to make pizzas.
First we washed our hands and put an apron on. We were then given a ball of dough which we had to flatten into a pizza base. Mr Wood learnt how to through his up in the air! We carefully out them into a pan and then added the tomato sauce. It smelled delicious! We then added cheese and oregano.
While the pizzas were in the oven, Rod, Sylvia and Maurizio gave us some toppings to taste and smell. We tried onions, basil, tomatoes, peppers, olives, oregano and mozzarella. Our favourites were the tomatoes and peppers but nobody liked the onions!
We then got ready to leave the restaurant. Saying goodbye to Rod and his staff we got on the coach to go back to school. We took our pizzas home and enjoyed them for tea! We also got a special certificate and we are now qualified Pizzaolos!
