Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year took place on Sunday 10th February 2013. We enjoyed an amazing week of Literacy where we learnt all about customs and celebrations associated with the Chinese New Year. We are so lucky to have Arthur in our class because he can count in Chinese! Look below at the video clip to see Arthur teaching 1JW how to count in Chinese! Arthur's mummy, Mrs Page came to talk to us all about Chinese New Year and we tried to eat rice with chopsticks! In Numeracy we wrote Chinese numbers and used our knowledge for simple addition. We all learnt that we were born in either the Year of the Dog or Pig!
