Our visit from the Rainbow Theatre was a brilliant experience. Not many people can say they have met Samuel Pepys and other significant people from the time of The Great Fire of London!
All of us had a role to play in the production; some of us worked alongside Samuel Pepys, others in the Pudding Lane bakery where the fire began – and some of us even helped try to put the Great Fire out!
After our rehearsal time where we learnt our lines or actions for the parts we were playing, the whole of Year 1 came together to create the production- and what a performance it was! The teachers watching were amazed by how professional we were – some even said they felt they were transported back to the Great Fire itself in 1666...
What an exciting way to consolidate all of our learning from this fascinating topic!
