Chestnut Class - Mrs Chambers

A warm welcome to Chestnut Class!

Mrs Chambers is the class teacher with Mrs Robin-Begg covering the class on a Tuesday. Our wonderful Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Hopping.

A typical day in Year 2

9-9.10am: Quiet handwriting practice

9.10-9.30: Phonics (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar)

9.30-9.45am: Brain Break

9.45-10.45am: English

10.45-11am: Break Time

11-12pm: Maths

12-1pm: Lunch

1-3pm: The afternoon lessons include the following subjects; Science, Computing, Humanities, Art, Design and Technology, Music, French, P.E P.S.H.E and R.E.

Our P.E. lesson is on Thursday so please ensure your child wears their P.E kit, tracksuit and trainers to school on this day.

Reading books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays only to allow time for quarantining.

Every Friday we take home spellings to learn ready for our weekly spelling test the following Friday.
