Virtual Trip Around the World

This term we are taking a Virtual Trip around the world. Each week we will be visiting a different country. We will look at the similarities and differences between each county and England. In some countries we will learn to speak a new language or a new dance or song. We hope you enjoy learning about our trip around the world. We will update this page each week to tell you what we have learnt in each country, along with pictures. 

First Destination: Paris

We started off by making our passports using adjectives to describe ourselves. We then made our plane ready to fly to our first destination Paris!  We took a virtual tour of Paris and learnt about the main tourist attractions. We also learnt our French colours and greetings. Second Stop: Africa

This week we went to Africa. We learnt about the animals you find on a safari and made fact files. We had an African dance lesson and made our own African instruments. We also made African necklaces. Watch the video of our necklaces below!

Third Destination: India

Our third stop on our trip around the world was India. This week we create a fact file about India, compared our school with a school in India and designed Rangoli patterns. We also had a Bhangra dance lesson, design henna patterns and took a virtual tour of the Taj Mahal. Look at our models, paintings and drawing of the Taj Mahal below.

Fourth Stop: Australia and New Zealand

We have been learning about Australia Landmarks and made non-fiction books on the animals you find in the Great Barrier Reef. Have a look at our books below! We also learnt about Aboriginal Paintings. When we visited New Zealand we learnt the Haka! 

Final Destination: Italy

For the final part of our tour around the world, we visited Italy. We went on a gondola trip around Venice, made some Venetian masks and joined in with pizza yoga! We have also been designing our dream pizza, take a look at our pizzas below. Which one would you like to try?
