World Book Day

World Book Day is huge in schools and is a favourite school week for the Chalfont children and we always try to give a little extra as we highlight the importance of books and reading. This year the children enjoyed a wonderful dance workshop on Wednesday on the theme of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ – a great link for us to Arts Week. There were some fabulous performances from each class and a lot of creative dance talent emerging. On Thursday, there as an array of different book characters turning up to school to celebrate World Book Day. To start the day, the children were treated to a performance of 'Don't chat to the bus driver!' by the staff.
