  • The Feast of St Peter!

    Sat 24 Jun 2017

On Saturday 24th June the KS1 and Year R Choirs sang at the Feast of St Peter on Gold Hill Common. What an amazing occasion for our young children to stand in unison on the stage and sing heartily! Everyone looked so smart in their school uniforms as Miss Pitman and Mrs West led the performance.

As our voices rang out across the common, we are sure we sang into the hearts of the local and wider community of Chalfont St Peter.

Thank you so much to all the parents who brought their children to sing and also past parents and pupils who came to support us.

Well done to all our children - they were absolutely brilliant and a credit to our school and their parents!

Please see our video clips on the Clubs (Choir) section of the website.

  • Watch Out! Pirates About...!

    Mon 19 Jun 2017

On Friday 16th June, our school was taken over by Year 1 Pirates! They wore some amazing costumes that glistened in the sunlight.

In the morning we welcomed the Rainbow Theatre to school to perform the workshop 'The Jolly Roger' where we all took part aboard the 'ship'. In the afternoon, we all went into the Environmental Area for a treasure hunt!

Just before home time, the Pirates went into the office and nearly captured Mrs Leech! They tried to capture Ms Cornes but she wouldn't open her door! So... they captured Miss Pitman instead!

What a wonderful day of fun, stories and songs!

Watch out for those pesky pirates below...!

Hooray! At last it is the turn of Chestnut Class to go to Shortenills! The children arrived this morning as Beech Class packed to come home. Everyone went into the dorms to make their beds for the most amazing sleepover!

The children enjoyed many activities today and enjoyed a hot lunch. After tea time, everyone went for a warm evening walk. Happy voices could be heard in the woods and trees!

After a final play in the adventure playground, the children all went to supper for hot chocolate even though it was very warm weather!

Tomorrow the children look forward to making shelters for their cuddly bears. Let's hope the sun shines again...

  • Shortenills - Beech Class

    Mon 12 Jun 2017

At last the day has come...Year 2 children from Beech class arrived at Shortenills this morning! It was so exciting! Beds were made and cuddly toys were carefully placed on pillows ready for a sleepover with friends!

The children have had a fun filled day with lots of activities and a lovely hot lunch. They had time to play on the adventure playground and enjoy some free time in the dorm.

After tea, the children went on an evening walk in the woods; they are hoping to hear a few owls or see some bats...

After a yummy supper of hot chocolate and biscuits, all the children went to the dorms to get ready for bed.

The boys were not sleepy at all so the teacher took them on the adventure playground again... hoping to tire them out!

The first day at Shortenills has been so much fun! Take a look at what we have been up to below....
