  • Royal Wedding Pizza Lunch!

    Fri 18 May 2018

On Friday 18th May the entire school celebrated the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Everyone was so excited as they came to school wearing red, white and blue and waving so many Union Jack flags!

During the morning, the classes moved around the school meeting different teachers and enjoying activities related to 'All Things Royal'! We designed our own crowns and played the Boom Whackers to God Save the Queen! We all went to the Cocoa Pod to design a castle for Prince Harry and Meghan!

At lunch time the playground was full of bunting and because the sun was shining, we all ate outside. We were so happy to eat Pizza from Dominos Pizza and we would like to thank the PTA for kindly paying the bill!

We would also like to thank all the parents who came along to join us in the sunshine so that 180 hungry children could be fed quickly!

  • Windsor Castle - Year 1

    Fri 11 May 2018

On Friday 11th May, Year 1 were so excited to travel to Windsor Castle only 1 week before the Royal Wedding! We all stood in St George's Chapel and imagined what would be happening on Saturday 18th May!

We all participated in a workshop entitled 'Who Lives in a Castle' where we learnt about all the people who helped to run the castle.

Did you know that Windsor Castle is 1000 years old! We couldn't believe that fact! Oak and Elm Classes made beautiful wedding cards for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which we gave to the teachers to give to the happy couple. We really hope that Prince Harry and Meghan will write back...!
