What a truly inspirational and memorable week that was! So much Art, Dancing and Music as well as  a street party , Palace Gallery and wonderful mementoes to go home with. See out gallery pages for photos coming soon. 

To support our Year 2s with their creative writing , whilst studying one of our famous local authors, we enjoyed a visit form a drama company who brought the works of Roald Dahl to life. Through drama and games the children began to understand how he wrote and looked for ways to inspire themselves as authors too. 

As the school opened after the Easter holidays we were pleased to announce the opening of our new improved library. Having now moved into the Big Room, with shelves full of new books provided by our generous parents, the library is at the heart of the school where it deserves to be and ready for action. Now we start the hunt for Year 2 Junior Librarians to help us run the facility and keep it tidy and current for all the school to use. 

Another favourite of pre-Covid times was back today as we welcomed our Reception parents into school to see what happens in the school day, and to share learning through play with their children. This was so well supported and the children proudly showed their families what they can do and all the wonderful resources in our Early Years Unit.
