Greig Trout, who heads up The School of Kindness and the charity ‘52 Lives’ with his wife. He wowed Year 1 and 2 in assembly with his knowledge of the science of kindness, sharing how it is good for us and not just those who we are kind to. After a fabulous assembly the children went back to class and made some truly wonderful creations to share some kindness with their family or friends.
We were delighted to welcome parents into school for our Come and Learn with Me: Maths event. The afternoon began with an engaging presentation in the school hall, where Mrs Whittall shared ideas on how maths is taught and how parents can support learning at home.
After the presentation, everyone moved into the classrooms where parents joined their children in a variety of fun and hands-on maths activities. From problem-solving challenges to games, the sessions were full of excitement, teamwork, and laughter.
It was wonderful to see our pupils sharing their maths skills and enthusiasm with their families. A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us and to the staff who made the afternoon such a success!
We look forward to welcoming you all again at our next Come and Learn with Me event.
