Thank you so much to those parents who stayed after the Easter Concert for the short Open Forum – a space to share this years School Development Plan with Mrs Whittall and answer any questions the parents may have. We are always looking to move forward and we always welcome your support in the challenge!

  • Easter Concert

    Thu 26 Mar 2026

On Thursday we held our wonderful Easter Assembly. The children performed brilliantly and were fabulous audience members for their friends too. There were great performances from each class and contributions from choir, recorder club and ocarina club. Thank you so much to all the staff for the time in class to prepare the children for this concert. Special thanks to Miss Pitman and Mrs. West for giving up some of their lunch hour each week to teach music to our children.

  • Year R Easter Cards

    Tue 24 Mar 2026

Our Year R children spread some Easter joy by creating beautiful handmade cards for Rutherford House. Each child carefully decorated their own card, showing great creativity and kindness.

Once the cards were complete, our school councillors proudly walked down to Rutherford House to deliver them in person. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to share their work with the local community and bring a smile to others. We are very proud of Year R for their thoughtful effort and for representing our school with such care and generosity.

  • Year 1- Great Fire of London Day

Great Fire of London Day – a fabulous immersive learning day for all Year 1 children. What a great way to learn about History. The Rainbow Theatre Company have been visiting us for many years now and they are always kind enough to say how they love coming to our school – especially because we sing The Great Fire of London song for them at the end by way of a thank you.

  • Sports Tournament

    Fri 13 Mar 2026

This week we welcomed our coaches from PSD Sports for some extra days this week to lead our multi sports tournaments. The children looked so smart in their PE kits and coloured t shirts and enjoyed some competitive sports in their year groups. Much fun was had by all as well as learning some new skills and developing their resilience and sportsmanship through friendly competition. Thank you to the coaches from PSD, who were fabulous, and also to Mrs Edwards, our PE Coordinator, for organising this fun tournament.

Thank you so much for helping the children with all their wonderful outfits for World book day – as usual they looked fabulous.

  • Year R Celebrate Bucks Communication Week

    Fri 06 Mar 2026

Year R have had a fantastic time celebrating Bucks Communication Week! Throughout the week they invited family members to join them in school each day, and it has been wonderful to see so many visitors taking part in their activities.

They have enjoyed sharing stories together during their reading sessions, tackling a fun superhero obstacle course, and relaxing at the teddy bears’ picnic. The playground has also been busy with construction play and lots of conversation during their “Chitty Chatty Tea Party”, where everyone had the chance to practise their communication skills while enjoying time together.

A huge thank you to all the family members and visitors who joined us during the week – it was lovely to have you with us and the children really enjoyed sharing their learning with you.

They also took part in a Sponsored Listen. The children enjoyed listening to stories throughout the week and did an amazing job. Across both classes, they listened to an incredible 255 books in total! Their enthusiasm for stories and listening was wonderful to see.

Through their efforts and the generous sponsorship from families and friends, they raised £317.50 which will go towards buying new books for our classrooms.

A big thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored the children – your support helps us continue to build a love of reading and storytelling.
